What is a Come and Sing event?
Our annual Come and Sing events are open to all singers of all ages and levels of experience. The events consist of a ‘workshop’ style rehearsal followed by an informal concert, all led by our Musical Director Paul Ellis in the stunning setting of Sherborne Abbey. Music is provided for loan on the day and we have a break for tea, coffee and biscuits during the rehearsal for people to socialise and get to know each other. It’s a great way to get a taste of a new work or dust the cobwebs off an old one and the informal atmosphere ensures it is a lot of fun.
Come and Sing 2019
Our next Come and Sing is on Saturday 12 October from 1.30pm, when we will be singing a selection of popular choruses from the new book Sacred Choruses. Click here to hear its Editor John Rutter talking how the volume was prepared and how the contents were chosen.
